In most cases, we tend to favour IP stream transmission. The stream is either transmitted directly from the control room, or transcoded at the client site. Broadcast can then be carried out over the Web or via a dedicated link.

CAS-based
ICAW (Ipercast Conditional Access for Windows media) is a live secure streaming solution based on access control: it relies on security tokens to accept or deny use access to the stream. Tokens are generated by a powerful algorithm, with limited lifespan-set at 3 seconds by default.
