Title Ipercast Web Secure CAS
Ipercast drew on its deep expertise in secure content delivery to develop an access control solution for Windows Media distribution servers. This strength of this solution has been extensively demonstrated over the past 5 years.
This securization solution supports both live streaming and VoD. Called Ipercast Conditional Access for Windows Media (ICAW), it relies on the generation of security tokens to accept or deny stream access to users. Tokens are generated by a Triple DES algorithm with 512-bit key. Each token has a parameterizable lifetime-set at 3 seconds by default.

Principle of operation :

The user submits a stream request to ICAW, which sends back a unique and dynamic stream-access URL, generated by a token. The user then has the time which was set as the token lifespan to submit the URL to the server.
ICAW provides content access protection but, unlike Digital Right Management (DRM), it does not encrypt data.
ICAW returns a content which cannot be replayed, generating a unique and dynamic URL for every access request.
